Just wondering if 70% isopropyl alcohol is ok on the back of a mobo. I'm removing residue from the sticky part of a foam pad (Pain in the ass removing Big Typhoon)

Yeah, it should be just fine.

I've soaked my entire processor in Isopropyl Alcohol before, and there was no problem with it after.

You just need to make sure that it is all dried before turning on the computer again.

Ya i use it all the time, just like the above post said make sure its dry.

yea, id suggest 90% isopropyl but 70% just means more water so careful with that... should be just fine though since we all know water doesnt conduct electricity, pure water at least.

Too bad thats damn near impossible to get to (even triple distilled water will conduct ... not to mention, you punch enough power through it, you could prolly make it conduct
