Unhappy internet fails

Hi this going to be hard tp explain but i'll do best i can. right i have a syslinks wireless router and have had it for 18mths running fine, i have 1 computer on a wired conection and 3 other p.c on wireless when we run 3 of the p.c we have no problems, but when the 4 p.c goes on as well i loose internet for a few mins or hours no telling how long, its always te same p.c. I have recently changed isp in the last month but am getting 1mg broardband insted of 512 its only happend since i changed isp, but there telling me its not there end but nothing has changed my end apart from username ect. coukld it be somthing i.ve done wrong or are there feed me with crap as they do, i hope i have explained this for you ok. if you need any more info then please ask and i will try to porvide it for you, but i'm not that tecnical so please keep it basic.

On the computer that when you connect does it loose internet or does every computer loose internet?

All the computers loose internet, and the light on the router turns from Green to Red that indecates no internet.

is the computer that messes it up on a wired connection or wireless. I dont know for sure wat is wrong

its onthe wireless, its a reel problem cos it only happens, when that p.c is on line and again only in the everning. its completly stumped me.

i heard some isp offers limited bandwith.. so thats probably why... just a guess

Get your isp to check your signals , they can do it over the phone , sound like they are a little off

What if that computer is the only one connected? Same problem? Can you connect to the Internet with that system at a different location? What if you connect it via cable? If you can connect with that system under different circumstances than what you described, I think you need to call your ISP again.

re: your ISP. Keep in mind when you call a help desk, there are people of varying experience taking calls. You might get a good one, and you might get a bad one.
