Right just opened up CPU Z and it says that my RAM stick in slot 1 is PC125 slot 2 is PC100; I don't know much about RAM but i'm guessing this is chid LMAO anyway if I bought a PC3200 would that be compatable with my PC?oh and both ram sticks are SDRAM

you could get PC Wizard as well. It's like CPU-Z but IMO, it's alot better. anyways, It would wise to have both sticks be the same speed and type and make sure your motherboard can handle whatever the amount of RAM your using.

You'll just have to research. Maybe search Google. Type in your motherboard make and model and somewhere there should be a site with all your motherboard specs.

If you got PC3200 RAM and your PC uses SD-RAM (PC100), then it is not compatible.

128MB? Dang. You also mean 512MB. not 528MB. unless I missed something. I read somewhere that it takes at least 256MB of RAM to run XP efficiently....so like I said, buy a stick with the same speed and type as the one you already have.

The speed (PC100 like you said) and the type (SDRAM, DRR, etc.)
