you could get PC Wizard as well. It's like CPU-Z but IMO, it's alot better. anyways, It would wise to have both sticks be the same speed and type and make sure your motherboard can handle whatever the amount of RAM your using.

How do I make sure my motherboard could handle the RAM upgrade?

You'll just have to research. Maybe search Google. Type in your motherboard make and model and somewhere there should be a site with all your motherboard specs.

Default Hey

If you got PC3200 RAM and your PC uses SD-RAM (PC100), then it is not compatible.

128MB? Dang. You also mean 512MB. not 528MB. unless I missed something. I read somewhere that it takes at least 256MB of RAM to run XP efficiently....so like I said, buy a stick with the same speed and type as the one you already have.

The speed (PC100 like you said) and the type (SDRAM, DRR, etc.)

If its pc100, it'll be SD-RAM.
