The kind of video cards i have is the ATI|X1800XT 512M. The monitor i have is SCEPTRE X9g-Komodo II Black 19" 16ms LCD Monitor. I had pluged in the DVI cable to the video from the LCD, still it does not work. If any1 have any help i would appreciate it.

If the monitor has an onboard video, also try that, then if it works, go in your bios and there some setting about PCI, or PCI-E video.

weird... I had this problem installing Knoppix, but i know it shouldnt do that while not loading anything. Could you by chance try another monitor? As you probly heard before, try and unplug anything that isnt necesary to eliminate some variables.

yeah i alredy tried other monitors, Still the same problem.

Does it matter if the DVI cable have to b DVI-I? Because the kind of monitor cable i have is just DVI.

if u got a sli board then make sure the card is in the right pci-e slot, when i first put mine together i had the card in the wrong slot and all i got was a black screen.

i believe i put the graphic card in the pci-e slot. I also tried the other pci-e slot to see if it would work, but it didnt just the same blank screen without anything on it.
