Help Norton will not open

When I try to open Norton antivirus I get a dialog box that states: Norton WMI update and then it just goes away. I can't run Norton to get updates and scan for viruses. I Reinstalled a different version of Norton and it worked a while but started doing the same thing. It's got to be a virus of some sort. Is anyone familiar with this problem? Thanks in advance.

Update WMI somehow, or you can try a free antivirus like AVG 7 Free Edition.

Maby restart in safe mode and see if it works if not then try these online scans while not in safe mode and if none of that works i would recommend posting a hijack this log(see sticky)

Post a HT log there is a virus that will disable your antivirus!
