Default SATA Compatible Mobo?

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16813131569 <--My mono

The hard drive I want to get http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16822144414

I think it is because it says SATA 1 in the storage device section but I just need to make sure

Also, does the SATA hard drive cable go into the same place on the motherboard?

Thanks.

the links aren't working for me, but sata is backwards compatible so you can mix sata1 and sata2 without any problems. And sata connections aren't close to looking like IDE connections, so if that's your second question, then no they aren't the same
