i think my pc has finally bit the big one. it will not turn on i hit the power button and nada no beeps grinds whines nothin. i am takin it to a repair shop monday to see what it is. and if it is fried i am going to build my own.
i would like to keep the price under $700 it is the family comp, so no games other than lil mans miniclip.com obsession lol i just want a solid pc for general use (internet, word processing, downloading, dvd viewing etc.) what can i do with my price tag? I would prefer to 64 bit if possible. Thanks in advance |

for the things you listed, it wouldn't need to be very powerful, you might be better off looking at what you can get in the $400-$500 range at your local computer store like Best Buy or something, at that price range, it isn't really worth building your own, it's the higher end stuff where it pays off.
