i had a 512 mb samsung ddr pc3200 ddr 400 ram
and i bought 2 more of the same ram but with ramsinks on them i put the two ram with heatsink in the dual slots and it says dual channel enabled wen i turn on so decide to put back the other ram so i have 1.50 ram in total so i proceed to put it in... so this is where it gets to get weird. ever since i put the ram in the computer keeps rebooting by itself no errors or whatever but when it does start to work windows error pops up every 2 minutes and theres missing stuff in my programs. So i take out the single ram and leave the 2 ramsinked rams in and it works fine but i dont wanna waste this ram so is there anyway i can fix this? my friend is having the same problem |

The only way for dual channel to work is if you have 2 of the same size ram sticks (2x 512MB for example), and they have to be in the appropriate slots for it to work.
