Default No Bios For Me

I was going to format a family member's computer (yay, mdg computer!), but the computer was not set to boot from a cd. No problem, i thought, lets just go into the bios and change this. ummm, we will just say, hi, no. when the computer is started, it shows a black screen for about a minute and about 5 seconds after that the login screen appears. so it boots fine, but it shows nothing. i called mdg tech support, and they said to press delete as many times as i could untill it went into the bios. it didn't. i tried every key combination i could possibley think of. f1 right through to f12, delete, backspace, ctrl, alt, space bar, everything (the list gets longer). any ideas???

Try opening up the case, and look on the motherboard for a 2-3pin jumper that says something like "CLR CMS". Best way to do this is to refer to your motherboard manual. Or you can take the battery out for a while and put it back in.
