Default problem sharing internet connection

i am running win xp on both computers and using a crossover cable.
i am able to share files no problem, but no matter what i do i can not share the internet. it is only a dial up connection with aol everything seems to be ok all files sharing and windows firewall is set to allow networking and aol.do i need to set up the aol connection on the cliant pc. tried to setup aol to use a lan connection but will still not connect.any ideas as i have read a lot of trouleshooting but it all seems to read the same.thanks in advance.

The setting-up of that program is quite tricky, see the readme file. We use it at the office and it works fine.

You should only really need to run a network setup wizard to get the internet shared throughout the network.

ya i'm running WIN 2000 pro and having the same problem but on 2K there is no wizard

You can not share internet with an AOL account. Changed ISP
