Angry registry cleaner problem

I used some registry cleaner program to make my system run more efficient. It erased hundreds of files....Strangely enough my computer still works fine but my online poker games can't get online anymore. I use ultimatebet and I even tried to load Partypoker but both have the same problem....can't connect to the server. I have no problem surfing with the same computer. I'm running win2000 with a compaq presario 1693 with 192meg ram. I ran sfc with no change.Any help is appreciated.

I tried that several times...@ least 6 times. That's also why I downloaded Partypoker to see if it did it too.

Maybe it recognised it as a threat.

rule number one, never use any registry cleaners, or any other system tune up utilities that are offered to you through the internet, they dont know what they are doing and are generally a nusiance....

Now back to your problem, try a system restore point, to a few days before the registry cleaner did its business....??
