Talking iPOD help with software

my daughter jus got an ipod but im not keen in installing all the crappy ipod software that comes with it?

is there any decent programs out there that just lets me add my own mp3s and catalogue them or what?

your help would be much appreciated as shes digging my ribs to get this sorted lol

i think you need to install the software that came with it. why did you get her a ipod of you didnt like there software and is it a nano?

Unfortunatly, you can only use iTunes to load the music. But what do you have against installing the software? The iTunes program is only 30mb, and if it comes off a CD there will be no viruses/adware. Is there some other reason you don't want to install it? Not wanting to install it sounds unreasonable to me.

musicmatch jukebox has an ipod plugin, and there are many other programs out there also.

i didnt know that well then i guess you can use differnect programs instead of itunes.

so why do i have to install quicktime why not just the software itunes needed to create the library? its crazy

i DO NOT like quicktime but you have to install it and if you un-install it the itunes dunna work?

Im not sure why your having a hard time with this, you install iTunes, and then select the songs you want to put onto your iPod with it.

Yes, you have to install Quicktime along with it. Theres no way around it. But all you have to do is uninstall it after iTunes is on there. No big deal.

unfortunately itunes will not run after un-installing quicktime


Error saying basically quicktime needs to be installed on this computer
