is your harddrive sata or ide then figure out what your comp takes and put in your comp. but you will have to format the drive and reinstall windows on the drive

Default Its A Barebones

Will what I am looking to do Is Make a computer with a case thats going to be able to just surf around on the net and dl some music, movies, ect. but dont want to pay alot, right now i am on a dell 3000, with 2.6 intel pentium 4, 512 mb ram, and 80 gb HD, thats what I am looking to make,

So something like

1. Intel Pentium 4
2. 512 MB
3. DVD-RW
4. at least a 60gb HD

5. The most important ....Price range of cheap...Like around 200.00

all that stuff will work and the harddrive to. but you cant use a dell motherboard in a regular computer cause dell uses properiaty motherboards that are smaller and wont fit in standard cases and they use different connections. but if the CPU ram and dvd drive and harddrive is out of it they should all work but not the motherboard.

are you going to be gaming at all. do you want an integrated graphics or dedicated graphics. what parts do you already have or do you want to build one from scratch. and that budget is really low.
