And it should work on an equivalent AMD processor as well (500MHz). I've seen many computer bundles with AMD chips and iTunes already installed on it.

Of course it will work. It does say "or better" doesn't it
![]() Seriously though, anything that will run on an Intel machine should have no problem running on an AMD machine. If it does then it's poorly written. I have yet to find any software so poorly written that it will not work on an AMD based machine. You have more than enough computer muscle to run it.

This is true. If, for example it says it requires a 700mhz Pentium III then you can probably run it on a 550 or 600mhz Athlon.

Actually Durons aren't that bad. A 1.6Ghz Duron will out perform a 2.6 Ghz Celeron or a 1.8Ghz Pentium 4. They're ok for people who just want the basics. My suitcase started as a 1.2ghz Duron. It was $30 so I got it just so I could turn it on.
![]() You're probably right about a 600mhz duron though. That's probably non-existant here. And by that I mean has and uses

Mine did ok. Just wanted games to play better. Now I'm at 2.1 Ghz. Slightly overclocked. Plus by today's standards 1.2ghz is slow.
