I'm actually trying to start up a new system on a computer. The installation of XP started and everything was okay. The 40GB were identified correctly, I installed a new partition (5 GB) fot the system installation. The copying process of the data into the system folders was okay, as well. After that a reboot is necessary, as you know. I allowed this, changed the first boot device in Bios from CDRom to IDE and tried the reboot. But the computer didn't detect the HDD. It is jumpered correctly but the primary master HDD is not detected....
What might be the problem?? What can I do? (I want to start up a new system on a new HDD, because the old primary master HDD wasn't detected anymore, too.... "Primary Master Hard Disk fail") |
