Between the two, the Sempron is a bit faster. It's clock is around 1.8 and the celeron is at 1.4 or 1.5 (depending on the model you're looking at). Which model were you looking at, the 3003WLCi? We haven't had any complaints on that unit or any other Acer products. Either one should serve you well. For an average user, if you didnt know what was under the hood, you probably couldn't know which was faster between the two (this or the celeron 3613WLCi).

the celeron will have better battery life most likely, but I'm personally not a fan of any of the cheap processors, the 256k L2 is definitely not as good as the 1mb, not to mention the sempron's faster. I'd say if battery life is a big issue, stick with the celeron, but otherwise go with the sempron

[Quick tip. Program your wireless card to work on the TV in class, and have somefun with turning it on and off, and ejecting the DCD tray and such] |
