Just finished putting a new computer together last week and all has been fine till this afternoon. Started it up got the mobo boot screen and thats as far as it will go. can't get into bios to check things, it will not do anything. Here's my setup. ASUS P4S8X-MX Mobo, Celeron D 3.06 gig Processor, 1 Gig DDR , ATI 9550 AGP Card, Maxtor Diamond Max Plus 120 gig HD. Lite-On dual layer DVD Burner,Aspire XQ Pack Case w/420 watt power supply. Everything is at stock settings no overclocking. It will just not run. I could use any and all suggestions. Tried unplugging all cords and cards to see if there was a loose connection but nothing.

I take it you're not getting anything beeping at you? If not sounds like the mobo's not posting correctly, which would be an rma type of thing, but if it's beeping like crazy, check that the memory is good and installed correctly

No it does not beep or anything, The splash screen comes up and thats it. It says push del for setup, but when I try pushing it,it doesn't do anything just stays on that screen. The memory is brand new, I know it could be new and still no good but I have no way to test it. Only 1 stick and I don't have any of the same kind to replace and test. I did pull it and reseat it to see if it had a bad connection but no Joy.

Ok I reset the CMOS and it booted up. Then when I reconfigured the bios she froze up again. Did a step by step on the bios to see which setting was giving me the problem and when I set USB to high speed that did it. This is supposed to support USB 2.0 but everytime I try to turn it on she freezes up. I have a lot of stuff that runs on USB 2.0 and really need this to work, any suggestions? By the way thank you for the help so far with my problem.

Install SP2 for WinXP from Microsoft. That should have USB2 drivers. Give it a shot
