molex short 2

on the tandard 4 molex there are red yellow and two black cables will i short my psu if i switch teh two black cabels around?

this is a pic from the frint of a molex? oo ya and teh same thing for a floopy dirve.

Black cable's are ussaly ground cable''s, why would you be swicthing just the black's anyways? If your doing rewiring then you should have a choice anyways...and if your attemping to put it in abckwards then the red and yellow would be mixed, not to mentipn it most liikly wont fit... I'm confussed, but i know that ussaly black wires are ground.

yeah, xycron's right, black's ground and the other two are 5v and 12v, but I don't remember offhand which are which

no..i'm getting a sleeving kit which makes it so taht i have to remove all teh molexs.... icant mess up with yello and red because they're diffrent colors vut i dont see how you couldn't get the two black cables ro get miked up once it's timw to put everthing togther again sinnce tehre bot blak

again, shouldn't matter, but something like a clothes pin should hold everything in the right order

so does it matter if when i put the wire's back into the new molexs if i switch the 2 black wires around?

Heya,

switching the two blacks will not do anything. A problem could occur when you would switch the YELLOW (12V) with the RED (5V).
