Default Computer maintence, What do you do?

What do you do to keep your computer running right?
How often? W = weekly, M = monthly

Example
1) update and run Ad aware W
2) update and run spybot W
3) delete cookies W
4)run your anti virus program W OR M?

*Run Spybot, Adaware, etc every 2-3 D.
*Update the above every 1-2 W
*Run anti-virus every 2 W or so. (have one actively running/searching or whatever it does all the time though.)
*Reg cleaning every W or so.
*Run a file cleanup that cleans lots of unnecessary stuff every couple days.
*Defrag whenever I get around to it

Windows xp is very good at not getting messed up. I just run a Virus Scan about once a month. Adware/Spyware scanner everytime i remember to. Defrag and scan disk at least once a month.

there's good free software out there like crap cleaner, google for ccleaner. spybot and ad aware are good free spyware scanners. run them regularely at least once a week or after a longer surf session. AVG is a good, low on resources free AV program. Look that everything is uptodate (windows and all the security stuff). That's of course how it is right now, tomorrow it might be already different. with xp you don't need to scan disk, but you can defrag once in a while.
