I got a free computer from someone, a nice computer. 1.8 ghz 256mb ram. The only problem is when i plug in my mouse it doesn't work, well the right mouse button works. I just can't move the cursor or left click. I tried using different mice and conclued that it is the mouse port. I have a usb trackball that I tried to use instead of the mouse port. Well, the USB Port doesn't recognize the trackball. I need to know how or what i can do to fix this problem. I would like to use the computer but I would like to use it a mouse instead of the keyboard all the time.

I also tried restalling windows, restalling drivers, everything that I can think of.

Is there a way to fix this without buying a new motherboard?
