I don't know about prices but you should try and find out about warranty?
Will airport security equipment harm motherboards or other components.
What duties have to be paid? How much?

yea good point. ecspecially the motherboards on airplane security. they will probably think its a bomb and arrest my dad if he takes it on the plane wit him.

with the cost to ship it back here it might be cheaper to get it here.

Well, if you do upgrade here, i used to have a dell, and tried to upgrade the mobo, but damn dell's cases are not compatable with any other mobos that didn't come with it. Get a new case too.

well i dont think they will think its a bomb if he keeps it in the box and show it to them. b/c you can take laptops w/ you and such. like instead of keeping the mobo in his suitcase put it in a bag so that it can be easily taken out of its box and shown to the security.but also he could only spend so much or else he would get taxed by customs. so i think it would be cheaper to buy here
