Default Radeon/Nvidia compatibility

could a motherboard with a radeon cross fire chipset (like this http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16813136165 ) function with an Evga Geforce graphics processor? and will 2 of these ATI cards http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16814195002 fit in that motherboard?

It'll work fine. The only thing that would be chipset dependent to graphic cards would be Crossfire and SLi.

Yes those 2 ATI cards will fit. I see your going for crossfire... nice

I'll let you guys know the reason I'm asking. I have a 2.3482 year old Alienware with me at college and an awesome new gaming rig a made myself a few months back. The Alienware is not so cool any more so I plan on ripping out the motherboard, CPU and GPU and replacing them with an amd 3500 and the parts I posted earlier a mother board with a cross fire xpress northbridge, and an EVGA geforce 7800 gt because I'm on a budget. and in the future buying a new x1900 for the alienware and moving the geforce to my other computer and using SLI. but i don't know wether or not that new ATX motherboard will fit in my old alienware case. any sugjestions or comments?

It'll fit but to use Crossfire you'll need a master card.
