Default Thinking of buying Belkin Wireless Pre-N Router and Card for laptop. Please Advise.

I am thinking of getting a Belkin Pre-N router and wireless notebook card Like the one on this site http://catalog.belkin.com/IWCatSect...ction_Id=202570

Is this setup faster then a wireless linksys G Router?
Will the distance of the Pre-N live up to it's advertizing?
Will I be able to secure my Pre-N wireless network?

Any other points you would be able to inform me about Pre-N?

the link's not working for me, but no matter. IMO pre-N is wasted money, you're not reallly going to get much of an advantage with a $100+ router over a $40 one cause what are you going to be doing that needs that much bandwidth? Are you going to be sending huge files from computer to computer over your wireless network? The biggest advantage is a greater distance of coverage, as you said it had. Again, if you can get an excellent signal with a cheaper one, you're not going to benefit much over having pre-N. And you ought to be able to set up the security on any router to where it would be extremely difficult for someone to get in to it. SO I guess in conclusion, if you think you need it, go for it, but I think it's more than most people use. As far as brand, I like Belkin so I'd recommend one.
