Price up all your components at www.tigerdirect.ca and compare prices
Don't forget to price up a case.

  1. Are you willing to build yourself?
  2. What do you intend to use the computer for?

And the X600 is a budget card. It should run most newer games at around medium settings.

Mostly used for Comp engineering programs such as inventor, solid works and auto CAD
and some gaming as well

1. What are you doing with the machine?
2. No the price is actually quite crappy. Consider the following
3. Not all canadian provinces pay the same amount of tax... but here's a start
Athlon64 X2 3800 [Manchester (BH-E4), S939] ($359.00)
MSI K8N Neo4-F ($99.99)
OCZ Premier 2x512 [CL2.5] ($118.00)
Maxtor DiamondMax10 250GB 16MB SATA ($122.00)
NEC 3550A ($49.99)
AOpen F90ES 19" 12ms 500:1 250cd ($299.99)
Logitech Cordless Desktop EX ($39.99)
Superflower 450W [12V@27A] ($76.00)
eVGA 6800GS 256MB ($239.99)
Subtotal: $1404.95 (i didnt spec a case but there's still room for one). If you got the funds (assuming you're going for more gaming performance) then Sapphire X800GTO2 [$254.99] and
Asus Extreme 6800GT [$284.99] are good options too

Depends what you want to do with it

Hmm depends on the games you want to play and what kind of quality/performance you're expecting

Often you can goto a small computer store and get them to build you one (say for $50-$100 labor or something)
