Default What should i do

So im going to build a computer and i have some old computer parts i want to use. One of them is a hard drive. so heres are my questions. one im going to get a new harddrive thats 80 to 120gb and the one i have now is around 17 or 18 gb so i was wondering if i should put windows on the old one and use the other one for all my other files and stuff. if thats the case i already have windows 98 on the old one along with some other stuff but im buying xp to use with the new computer so how would i go about getting everything off the old drive. Its an IDE drive so is that going to slow me down at all since its old. Or is it a better idea to just partition the new drive and then later install the old drive wip it and use it for other stuff not the OS. thanks
