Wink AIM proxy

In school we all get ibooks for the year, it gets pretty boring at times so I downloaded AIM, I can't connect though becuase of the shcool proxy... I tried connecting to AIM with a diffrent proxy, one that shouldn't be blocked by the school but if didn't work. Does anyone know how I could connect? Is there a certain port I'm supposed to connect through or something?

thanks!

try letting it scan for open ports in the configuration. Port 443 is usually open. Just click setup/connection/autoconfigure. See if it doesn't find a way through on it's own.

You can also set AIM up to port 20.. That is what I have to do at work to get onto AIM
