Default motherboard agp

hi my new motherboards agp slot doesnt support 3.3volt graphic cards i have a geforce 68oogt and dont know what voltage it uses the motherboard says it will be damaged if i put a 3.3v card in the slot please help

My new one also says that but i found that a large number of GeForce cards are of a lower voltage. If you contact Nvidia they will tell you.

A 3.3v AGP card is a 1x or 2x card, your 6800gt should be 8x and .8v.

Well what make and model is your motherboard? Also if your mobo is old enough to not support AGP 4x/8x, then id consider a PSU upgrade as well
