Default can't get into windows

I had d/l & installed the following drivers for my asus A8N sli motherboard

"nVidia Chipset(CK804) driver version V6.65 for Windows XP(WHQL)" &

"ASUS Cool&Quiet Driver V1.2.2.2 for Windows XP/2003".

Now after restarting the pc,i'm stuck at the win xp pro screen,how can i solve this problem?

Go in to safe mode then do a system restore then you should get back onto windows

erm i had the system restore turn off ,are there other options hopefully?

Not really an option for me as my files aren't backed up

just wondering why a simple update of the motherboard driver will cause the
windows to hang up

Try that first, if it doesn't work try a repair reinstall of windows. It shouldn't cause any data loss.
