Well to check your hard drive, run Windows Scan Disk. The processor cant get errors.

Short story: Turn on computer, the anywhere between 5-20 mins after computer freezes.

Long story: Started to happen about 1 year ago, had someone look at it who didn't know, suggested it might be my OS (XP) so I changed to mandrake. Used Mandrake for1 year no problems but didn't really know how to use it so only really surfed net. Recently got copy of XP professional. Installed it today to find the same thing happening again.

must be some hardware that doesn't like windows not sure what though.

In windows 9x it was called scan disk, now they just call it error checking.
