Default Resalutions in game - HELP

Okay, Whenever i try to set 1280x1024 resalutions the scvreen goes black, I happen to know both my viideo card and my moniter support this resaltion,it also happends to higher resalutios, and if i right click desktop and change windows to that reslaution the screen is fine.

Your video card can't support those resolutions then.

Yes it can, I have a Geforce 6200, and It can, it says in the desciptions, and it works on those resalutions on windows, I have i have used them before i re-id my harddrive and upgraded other parts.

reinstall the drivers for the videocard and maybe reseat the videocard and check to see if its overheating.

Tryed drivers, Will try reseating the Vcard after this post, and its not overheating, its at about 20C when i start up I have a extra added on cooler, and alal i do is change RES and it all goes black cant even start the game :/

I can even press ctrl tab to get out of it and back to window's and windos is still working fine but if i go back to the game its all black, and then i had to reinstall all the games i tryed because i couldn;t start them to change it back

Properties>Settings>Advanced> Look around for an option thats says: Enable Doublescan for lower resolution modes If its ticked try unticking it, or if its the other way around try ticking it and test the game then.

At higher resolutions, you might have to lower your screen refresh rates (e.g., 60Hz instead of 85Hz).
