I have a secondary computer that has s-video out, i wantto hook it up our TV downstairs that has S-Video input. I've used a S-Video-to-RCA converter, but that looked like crap. So i was wondering if any of you have hooked your tv up to your computer via S-Video before, and how it looks. Im asking this because i dont want to have to move my whole PC and parts to hook it up, and see that it doesnt work.
The main use will be to watch movies with it, and i would need to be able to navigate through the desktop via the TV.

Well in case anyone was interested, i tried it and it looks pretty good. You cant read small text, but images and movies look great on it.

I've used S-video on my high-def TV and it looked crappy.
Maybe you would like to look into a DVI splitter or something (assuming you have one DVI output on your computer). Send the DVI cable to the TV and used an adapter (component or analog). Just a suggestion.

I found composite video to be very good, strangely my video card seems pretty rare. It has VGA, S-Video and composite video out (TV Out), haven't found this on any other GF4MX440 or any card in general. Usually you shouldn't use adapters, they seem to lower the quality a bit. And when you said
"I have a secondary computer that has s-video out, i wantto hook it up our TV downstairs that has S-Video input. I've used a S-Video-to-RCA converter, but that looked like crap." Didn't you just say that both your computer AND TV have S-Video output/input? So why did you continue on saying you used a S-Video to RCA when it shouldn't be needed?

yeah, I've tried connecting my comp to a Sony Trinitron 32" tube TV non HD. Reading text was near impossble even at 600X400. Also the side of the screen looked warped and stuff. Playing games is pretty nice but you can read what other people say.
