Default Help!

I just purchased a new case along with a new video card and put everything in and its connected and all that. Fire up the machine, and its working, fans moving lighting up etc, turn the monitor on, and it recieves power but its almost as if it goes into sleep mode and the screen is blank and nothing comes up. Does anyone know what this could be?

And the rest of the box? (see the section labeled "HOw Do I Find Out This Information") And also no need to make multiple posts with one point each ... there's an edit button as well as it's prolly easier to just post everything at once

AMD Ath XP

That is all I know off the top of my head. I cant use my computer that this is happening on because I can not see anything. Sorry for the multiple posts.

My friend seems to think that the problem will be solved simply by getting a new monitor. Does that sound right?

Well if the video card's fan spinning means that it has power then yes its connected. Not too sure on the motherboard. The power supply is a Dynex 500 Watt Power supply (DX-PS500W)

If the fanis spinning it means the card is plugged into the slot and not neccesarily that it has the PCIE/Molex power connectors in place
