The time it takes for a network packet to leave your computer, go to another one, and return (in milliseconds - correct me if I'm wrong). Lower is better. It's basically how good your internet connect is with the server. Ideally, you'd want under 100.

EDIT: damn Suave, you beat me, lol.

what difference would a lower/higher ping make? i have a fairly bad wireless connection in my room (usually either 'low' or 'very low').

i noticed, while playing warrock, that sometimes a character will run in place for like 3 or 4 seconds, then show up halfway across the field. Is this a connection or a memory issue?

its connection. and that is called lag. higher ping makes you laggy and low ping is no lag(if you do then its b/c of low FPS)

Lower is better. Sometimes my lag is 60 and it went down to 43 which is better than 60.

Like everyone said. Lower the better.

I usually have a ping of 30 to 60 on any servers i play. 100 to 150 Is pushing the limit, and anything over and you'll lagg to much.

lower is better you want to be at least under 100. but try to be between 30 and 60 for no lag at all. i am at 70 all the time cause we have a wireless connection and when 3 people are using it the internet slows down alittle bit.

Im very happy if i have a ping under 100, my average ping is between 90-110ms. Anything over 150ms for me is too laggy.
