I download alot of mp3's to listen to on the computer, or some to burn to a cd. I notice that many of the songs only play through one speaker and the sub (2.1 setup). Is there any way I can make both speakers play that signal? Ive gone through the speaker setup, and its correct. Also, it bothers me that some songs play louder than others, can I level out the volume of them somehow?

maybe the speakers are broken, maybe the sound card is broken.
i think iTunes has something called "souncheck" that levels the sound between songs. also, the volume of the song has nothing to do with the quality, ignore that guys post. volume = loud or quiet quality (or kbps) = blurry or good sound also, iTunes does MP3 vbr which averages out the bit rate to make the whole sound at the same quality... i duno i read that somewhere. its not good to use the VBR option unless u either dont have an MP3 or your MP3 player supports it (make sure it does!) ipods support it.
