Default 28000K in MB?

how much is 280,000 K in MB? That is how much memory is being used on this computer, before it was at around 500,000 K when nothing was running, now i got it to be just under 280,000 K. This computer(My sisters) Ii so full of crap

It just says in (K). This is in Windows 2000 in ctl-alt-dlt task manager

280,000K divided by 1024 (1MB) = 273.4375 MB of memory being used...

The logic behind it:

1 byte = 8 bits
1 megabyte = 1024 bits
1 megabit = 128 kilobytes

Thanks. but damn Thats more then i wanted, at least its better then before by ALOT, this pc only has 512mb of ram so before it was working on all virtual ram from the hardrive when i opened new things. i need to figure out how to get the rest of ths crap out of hear.
