Vista will be a success just like every other version of Windows that preceded it. If you buy a new prebuilt computer, it will (eventually) have Vista preinstalled. It's not like anyone will have a choice as to whether or not their new PC will have XP or Vista on it. Each OS was a success in its day because that's what came with the computer, like The Other One says.
It's only going to be in hindsight whether or not Vista will be considered a good OS. A sales success does not necessarily mean it will be considered a good product.
