Question Need help??? headphones aren't working???

I just installed the windows OS on my computer, I went to plug in my headphones and when I plugged them in, I heard no sound. Not only do I hear nothing, but the volume utility says that I have no device plugged in at all?? Also, I have three places to plug in my headphones, the front panel, back of sound card and back of mobo. If I use the mobo or front panel, will it use onboasr sound or my sound card?? I'm kinda confused??

Default

motherboard and front panel are both integrated, so don't install that driver or use either of them, install your sound card drivers and use the headphones in that plug
