isn't AMD cheaper?

the 4800+ to the extreme, which is cheaper? (lol)

Well ya the X2 series is cheaper then the Pentium 4 EE series, but its not cheaper than the Pentium D series.

Pretty much everything is cheaper than the EEs. (I am not sure about the FXs) because they are way overpriced.
Here is a price/performance chart for AMD and Intel dual cores/EEs

always get the X2 3800+

Or buy an intel D820. I got mine for $175
