Thats not actually that bad of an example, i thought he did quite well, there is a worse one where they try the same thign in a massive conference hall with 100's of people, it fails all together and is quite funny. At least that guy got it to work in the end to a fairly aceptable degree.

You might want to read a little bit more about the history of Microsoft. My comment would be placed on a timeline in the late 80's - early 90's. Your comment is confusing events that occured in the early 80's...
