Right here we go….
I have two XFX Geforce 6800GT 256mb PCI express graphics cards on an ASUS A8N-SLI mobo. But since I have installed the second card the computer freezes when I am on a game for about 5mins (BF2 for example) When it freezes I get this really high pitched noise through the speakers. But after a restart the computer is fine, even when I go back on a game it does not freeze at all, I can play for hours and it runs fine! What’s going on with it? I am on Win XP Pro, and I have got the latest Nvidia Driver / Nforce drivers Any help would be nice, thanks ![]()

Yup all the wires are plugged in, 100% sure of that for the cards and mobo. I have also changed the chip of the board for dual cards.
Thanks for the reply ![]()

I have the SLI bridge on, are you sure you can use SLI with out it because that don’t sound right
The core temp on the cards are around 70c, I am not sure about the temp inside the case, I have a lot of big fans in it and when I put my hand at the back it does not feel hot. But remember after it crashes once, after a restart its fine for ages, so I can’t see that being a heat problem ![]()

It turned out that one of the Windows security updates messes SLI up, and if u do not have the latest Nvidia Drivers, well you get blue screens, if you have it runs fine. Hope this helps you But i still need help!! ![]()
