Default WMP problem

Whenever I try to rip music to my computer using WMP10, it gives me this error everytime saying:

"Windows Media Player encountered an unknown error. This can occur when another program or operating system component encounters a problem but does not communicate the nature of the problem to the Player."

What does it mean?

To me at least, it says to stop using WMP. It sucks anyway.

I've switched to iTunes now. I like it alot better even though I don't have an iPod.

consider EAC (exact audio copy) to rip your files, and foobar2000 to play them. although both can be difficult to grasp completely at first, the possibilities with both are endless.

I use Adobe Audition 1.5 for anything that has to do with audio, and it's got most everything else beat.

I use audiograbber, since it's 1) free and 2) works perfectly and 3) it's one of the first CD-rippers that came out when mp3s first started getting popular.
