hi
can an IPS protect against zero day attacks?
what are some of the tools out there that can protect against 0 day attacks?

no zero day exploits are exactly what they mean, zero day. The only way to avoid zero day exploits is to write an OS that is so solid there would be no zero day exploits.

Its more or less when a hole is found in the OS and someone writes a Virus or exploits for it before they can come out with a patch.
