what will happen if i Switch to Raid mode?
Here are my Questions.... What are the benefits of switching to raid mode? What are the advantages and disadvantages of switching to raid mode? What are the guidelines in switching in raide modE>? and what are the things I should remember before and after I switch to Raid mode? tnx in advance

There are several types of RAID, i'll assume you're talking about RAID 0, which splits your data over two drives in order to achieve faster transfer times. The disadvantage is that if one drive fails, all your data is lost.
Remember you'll need two identical drives for best performance (and at the very least both drives must be the same size, or the extra space on the larger drive will be lost). Also, always keep a backup of the data. A far better explanation can be found in RAID 101
