Default video card problem (please help)

I tried to install a Rosewill xabre 200 video card today. I believe I did everything correctly...uninstalled the built in video card, put in the card correctly.

The monitor gets no signal at all when plugged into the new video card plug, it just stays all black like it is idle. Then when I plugged the monitor back into the original plug and started the computer, a box came up that did say "new VGA software found" which I woudl assueme means I put it in correctly. But then when I try to install the drivers it says "No VGA devices exist".

Anyone know what the problem is? I know little about computers so please be as detailed as possible.

thanks.

Right try reseating the card. What slot are you using? Pci or Agp. If its agp make sure the clip on the slot is applied

He cant get on when the card is in to disable it. I think resiting it may work or there could be a jumper to enable/disable onboard graphics.

No, but if he takes the card out, then using the onboard, disable it, then put the card back in.....

It actually did end up being just that the clip was not pulled up all the way.

Although, now I have another probelm...I really only bought this video card to be able to play this one game I had purchased. Sure, that isnt the greatest video card but the game said it only required 32mb or higher and that card is 64 so I assumed it would be plenty good enough. But when I try to start the game I get a message that says "your 3d accelerator card and/or your video card coudl not be initialized properly. Please update the drivers for your 3d and/or video card".

Does anyone know what that means? Is the card not good enough to support this game or do I just need to change some settings? I have no idea. I did go to BIOS and the highest mb for the onboard video card option was 32 mb...I dotn know if that also applies to the new card I just installed or if that is just the defaults for the one that was built in.

thanks.

Have you disabled the onboard video and installed the drivers for the new video card?
