Default Good Vid Card

what is a good midrange price Nvidia Video card that can run HL2 and the like on med-max settings? my budget is about 220$!!

i have the 6600 gt oc one and it cost me 180
and i could play hl2 fine but its getting kinda old so

You need to give us more details... An important one would be whether you want it to be AGP or PCI-Express...
