Default Dell Dimension 8200 mb issue

P4 1.8ghz, 512mb ram, 80gb hdd. This computer was working normally before i restarted it. But after i restarted it, during the bios section it took almost a minute to detect the hardwares and add-ons. After that it said primary disk 0, primary disk1 not found, two options, f1 to reboot, f2 to enter setup utility. Finally i did found a way to get around this, to press f2 n after i got into the bios not changing anything then pressing the escape key to quite bios. then the thing boots up like it normally do, but i have to wait an minute or so and doing these steps every time i restart it. updated last month newest bios version, checked fast boot is on. Is this some sorta of motherboard issue?

Being that I have the same computer and I've dabeled in switching out hard drives quite frequently it sounds like you made a change that your OS didn't like. I'm assuming you're using windows and in my experiences it doesn't like you making changes to the mother board. Though a pain in the butt a fresh install wouldn't hurt, but that's my answer to all my problems
