Default Installing windows from a dell os disc

Ok, I currently have a dell dimension 6400 desktop. But now I am finally going to build my own rig from scratch. With my dell, I recieved an OS installation disc that has Xp Home Edition Sp1 on it. I have used this disc many times before to reformat the dell and install windows back on to it again. So, I was wondering if I would be able to use this disc to boot my new rig and install windows on it. It seems like it would work, but i got my only concern when I read a sticker on it that says something like "only for use with dell computers". Oh, and I also have the serial number for it if that at all helps. Ok, thankx

You cannot install XP on any other computer.

..Since you are referring to the OS disk from Dell, you need to go out and buy another legal copy of XP.

This topic has been talked about many times in the past. Please use the search engine in the future.
