p4 Ht or Amd X2

Hey guys ineed some help. I plan on buying a new laptop for gaming and was wondering whats better a p4 with hyperthreading tech or a amd dual core 4200+ and if amd is better how much better is the performance is it that big of a difference. also i know obviously fual core fx 60 would be best option but is it worth it. Money kinda is and isn't an option.

any advice would be greatly appreciated/

uhhhh just curious we are talking about laptops arent we? do they come with dual core? and or a fx processor? i do live in australia we might get the stuff a year later but im pretty sure

the x2 should blow a ht away, maybe the Pentium D's would contend better but of the two, definitely the AMD
