Default dell cpia will not boot

i have a dell cpia running windows 2k one day i had turned on my laptop and as soon as it finishes going through the bios it just turns off. i tryed going into bios to change settings and that doesnt work and also tryed a knoppix bootable cd also did not work. i timed it and the bios does not boot in the same time every time so i dont think that it could be something where it turns off after 5 sec. if you could please help me out thank you

It could be the power supply or power brick, and it can also be caused due to overheat.
