Default Size Casing

I am planning to upgrade a motherboard with form factor mATX size (24.5 *24.5).But, is it compatible to fit properly with the normal ATX casing which had installed with the ATX size (30.5*24.5) ?

As long as the case and board aren't some brand like Dell, compaq, etc, it should be fine. They probably follow the ATX standards now, but a while back, they didn't.
